The Tank Asymétrique came out in 1936. Because of its case design, the position of the watch on the wrist would be upright. This made it very convenient and easy to read the time when having your hand on the steering wheel. The 1936 version of this driver's watch was revived in 1996. Cartier's released 300 yellow gold and 100 platinum pieces in its Collection Privée. All watches from this special line of Cartier, have a dial made from 18k gold with a layer on top that has a very detailed guilloché engraving. This weird, but lovely and unique, watch is made from 18k yellow gold, measures 23 x 34 mm and is powered by a manual winding movement.
